Reaction to the Landon Donovan Goal In The USA-Algeria Game

Thanks to Jimmy Traina and Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated for tweeting this. I love this video. This person culled video reaction from various locales around the US, from coast to coast and from France and South Africa when Landon Donovan scored the goal to put the United States in the Knockout Round of the World Cup for the first time since 2002. I believe the video from “Boston, MA” is actually from the CBS Scene in Foxboro. Not sure, but it sure looks like it. The video is great stuff.

Before we get to that video, here’s the goal as called by Ian Darke on ESPN.

The phrases, “Go! Go! USA!” and “It is breathtakingly exciting!” will become part of the American sports lexicon as much as “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!” I’m sure FIFA will pull that video, so watch it while you can. Now the reaction from all over the country and the world.

My favorites? “Some Dude in Arkansas” and “I really don’t know….” I love it.
