Univision/Univision Deportes saw a combined 5.1 million viewers for USA-Belgium. We noted earlier that ESPN garnered an audience of 16.5 million for the game so overall, the game had a combined audience of 21.6 million viewers.
Online, Univision saw 1.8 million unique viewers so with the combined online and TV audience, the game had just under 27 million viewers.
For the Round of 16, Univision had its best audience ever averaging 4.4 million total viewers. The Mexico-Netherlands game averaged 10.4 million viewers.
USA-Belgium on Univision was the top-ranked program on broadcast in Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Francisco.

Univision Deportes’ presentation of the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014™ set new ratings records. The Round of 16 averaged 4.4 million Total Viewers and 2.3 million Adults 18-49, outdelivering its 2010 World Cup Round of 16 coverage by +22% among Total Viewers, and +10% among Adults 18-49. The matches aired on the Univision Network, which was simulcast on Univision Deportes Network (UDN), from Saturday, June 28, to Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
- The USA vs. Belgium match delivered 5.1 million Total Viewers and 2.4 million Adults 18-49.
- Univision Deportes’ coverage of the 2014 World Cup has reached 70.9 million Total Viewers through the Round of 16.

- On Tuesday, July 1, Univision Digital had its all-time highest day for live video with over 5.6 million total streams for the Switzerland vs. Argentina and USA vs. Belgium matches.
- Univision Digital recorded 10.2 million visits on July 1, ranking as the second highest trafficked day in Univision Digital history, after June 23 with 10.3 million visits.
- The USA vs. Belgium match had a record breaking 1.8 million unique viewers, becoming Univision Digital’s largest live stream event ever. The match received 4% more viewers than the United States vs. Germany match on June 26, Univision Digital’s second largest event.
- The USA vs. Belgium match was streamed for 91 million minutes and delivered 563K viewers during an average minute, outperforming Brazil vs. Mexico’s 83 million minutes streamed and 541K viewers during an average minute on June 17.
- The Switzerland vs. Argentina match on July 1 was watched by 1.3 million unique viewers, ranking among Univision Digital’s top five largest live streams.
- On July 1, the Univision Deportes app regained the No. 1 position in the Google Play Store free sports app category. The app continues to rank among the top five free sports apps since the 2014 World Cup launch, in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Univision stations outdelivered the same match on ESPN among Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles, Miami, Houston and Dallas. In fact, the Miami Univision station had more than twice the audience of ESPN among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49; and in Houston the Univision station had more than three times ESPN’s audience among Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

During the match between USA and Belgium (4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. ET), Univision was the highest rated broadcast station among:
