Rob Dibble Has Apparently Joined Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Radio

I don’t have a press release on this, but a tip from a listener to Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Radio. Up until last week, Bruce Murray and former ESPN’er Bill Pidto were co-hosts of Mad Radio’s midday show called “The B Team”. Cute name. Apparently, that ended last week. As of today, former MASN Washington Nationals analyst Rob Dibble has taken Pidto’s place and the show is being called something like “Murray & Dibble”.

There’s no word on what led to this change or why Pidto was let go or if Pidto will be used in another capacity at Sirius XM.

Dibble has been hosting a show on MLB Network Radio at Sirius XM, but this would be his co-hosting gig in all-sports since being a sidekick on the Dan Patrick Show when it was on ESPN Radio.

Dibble was let go from his MASN gig last year saying Stephen Strasburg should pitch through shoulder pain. Earlier this month, Dibble maintained that an e-mail from Strasburg’s father to the Nationals eventually led to his ouster from MASN.

Waiting for confirmation from Sirius XM on this.

UPDATE: 4:30 p.m. – Been informed this is an on-air audition for Dibble so this is not full-time. For what it’s worth, Pidto’s picture has been removed from the Mad Dog Radio site at Sirius XM. He’s apparently out for good.
