Sports Media Weekly Podcast No. 14

This week’s podcast, co-hosted by Southeastern New England media magnate Keith Thibault of Sports Media Journal and yours truly, had the great Maury Brown of the Business of Sports Network as our guest. For the entire podcast, we discussed a plethora of topics. Among the topics was Maury’s extensive web sites including the Biz of Baseball, Biz of Basketball, Biz of Football and Biz of Hockey.

We also talked about the recently completed baseball winter meetings and whether they still serve a purpose, the league-owned networks, the silly MLB local blackout rules, in-market MLB game streaming as well as the effect the Tiger Woods story will have on his sponsors long-term.

Lots of great stuff and it was all packed in quite neatly for a half hour. Download and listen to the podcast here or download it at iTunes. Also, please give us a good rating at iTunes. It would be nice to know what you think.
