TSN’s 2014 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs 1st Round Schedule

TSN/TSN2 will combine to air four first round NHL Stanley Cup Playoff series including the Original Six matchup between Boston and Detroit starting on Friday. Also included in TSN’s coverage will be the blood rivalry between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado-Minnesota and Anaheim-Dallas.

As this will be the final year of TSN’s NHL coverage for a long time, the network hopes to go out on a high note.

Among TSN’s announcers for the playoffs, Chris Cuthbert, Gord Miller, Ray Ferraro and Mike Johnson.

The incomparable James Duthie will be studio host for the duration of TSN’s coverage and he’ll be joined by insider Bob McKenzie plus analysts Aaron Ward, Martin Biron and former ref Kerry Fraser. I thought I read in TSN’s press release that Pierre McGuire would be part of the coverage, but it was Pierre LeBrun. For a brief few seconds, I thought TSN had taken him away from NBC which would have been great for America, but not so much for Canada, but I digress.

In addition, Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo will be part of TSN’s first round coverage in the studio.

Here’s TSN’s press release.
