TSN Has San Jose-Vancouver and Three Other NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Series

As the other Canadian NHL rightsholder, TSN has the availability to pick up the teams from the Great White North that CBC does not select. In this case, TSN will air the San Jose-Vancouver series after CBC chose Montreal-Ottawa and Boston-Toronto.

In addition, TSN has Canadian homeboy Sidney Crosby in the Pittsburgh-New York Islanders series and also has rights to the Washington-New York Rangers series.

TORONTO (April 28, 2013) – The Vancouver Canucks headline TSN’s NHL Playoffs coverage, as Canada’s Sports Leader tonight confirmed its complete broadcast schedule for the First Round of the 2013 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS. Along with exclusive English-language coverage of the Vancouver-San Jose series in Canada, TSN and TSN2’s First Round coverage also has some of the NHL’s biggest stars including Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Alex Ovechkin, Henrik Lundqvist, and Henrik Zetterberg facing off in the following match-ups: Pittsburgh vs. NY Islanders, Washington vs. NY Rangers, and Anaheim vs. Detroit.

TSN’s coverage of the 2013 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS gets underway on Tuesday, April 30 – opening night of the NHL Playoffs – featuring Game 1: Detroit @ Anaheim at 10:30 p.m. ET.

On Wednesday, May 1, TSN has doubleheader action with Game 1: NY Islanders @ Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. ET immediately followed by Game 1: San Jose @ Vancouver at 10:30 p.m. ET.
