So anything new?
Well, this weekend has been quiet after what has been another tumuHe’s headltuous week for the NFL. However, there is some sad news today.
What’s that?
Terry Bradshaw will not be on Fox NFL Sunday today. His son-in-law, former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas died last night in a car accident. Bironas was married to Bradshaw’s daughter. Bradshaw will be heading to Nashville to be with his daughter. It casts another pall over the NFL this week.
Condolences to him. Our thoughts to Terry.
Most certainly. Fox NFL Sunday will certainly have a mention of Bironas and his connection to Bradshaw at the top of the show today.
Well, the games will go on today. Anything we should know? Any Crossover games?
Not this week. Interestingly, there are ten early games like in Week 1. There are three late, one at 4:05 p.m. (Arizona at San Francisco on Fox, Thom Brennaman/David Diehl//Laura Okmin) and two at 4:25 p.m. both on CBS (KC at Miami and Denver at Seattle).
What are the games of the week?
Denver at Seattle is one (CBS, Jim Nantz/Phil Simms//Tracy Wolfson). Of course that’s the Super Bowl rematch. Denver probably won’t get blown out this time.
Washington at Philadelphia (Fox, 1 p.m., Joe Buck/Troy Aikman//Erin Andrews) is another as Kirk Cousins try to solidify his position as DC NFL Team QB and Philly’s offense hopes to buckle up and ramp up today.
Green Bay at Detroit (Fox, 1 p.m., Kevin Burkhardt/John Lynch//Pam Oliver) with NFC North Division rivals and both at 1-1 is always an intriguing matchup.
Baltimore at Cleveland (CBS, 1 p.m., Spero Dedes/Solomon Wilcots) will give us an idea if the Browns can be for real after beating New Orleans last week.
San Diego at Buffalo (CBS, 1 p.m., Andrew Catalon/Steve Tasker/Steve Beuerlein) provides the big question, can Buffalo become 3-0? The fanbase could certainly use some really good news.
And the last game of the week is Pittsburgh at Carolina (NBC, 8:30 p.m., Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth//Michele Tafoya). Can Cammy Cam Newton break out and become the true star that many have projected him to be.
So anything else?
Nope. Enjoy your games.
