Versus To Air “T.Ocho Show”; Earth To Fall Off Rotational Axis

Ok, that’s overreaching, but depending on your point of view, this will either be great or it will be Train Wreck TV. Versus is pairing Cincinnati Bengals teammates, Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco together starting in October. A sneak preview will be aired on tonight’s edition of The Daily Line.

We have the Versus press release.

SUPERSTARS ON THE FIELD AND OUTRAGEOUS CHARACTERS OFF, T.O. AND OCHOCINCO ARE TEAMING UP TO BRING THEIR TRASH-TALKING, LARGER-THAN-LIFE PERSONALITIES TO VERSUS FOR THE T.OCHO SHOW

Series to Air Tuesday Nights at 10:30 p.m. ET, Beginning October 12

NEW YORK, N.Y. (September 7, 2010)-Pop quiz: What do Terrell Owens and Chad OchoCinco have in common? A.) they’re two of the top wide receivers in the NFL or B.) both reality TV stars or C.) starring in a new show on VERSUS. The answer? All of the above as the NFL’s two most outspoken players are heading to the network for the new weekly series called The T.Ocho Show. From rivals to teammates, these wide receivers for the Cincinnati Bengals will go head-to-head to discuss, and give their unvarnished opinions about, the hottest news in and around the NFL, sports in general and pop culture. Does Terrell Owens think he can catch more passes than Randy Moss this season and does OchoCinco think Lindsay Lohan did enough jail time? Tune-in and find out.

The 30-minute show premieres on October 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET, but fans can catch a glimpse of the dynamic duo in action each Tuesday night on The Daily Line the next five weeks leading up to the premiere. The off-the-field antics begin tonight on The Daily Line at 11 p.m. ET.

“Not only are T.O. and OchoCinco two of the most recognizable, entertaining and quotable players in the NFL today-and maybe across the entire sports landscape-they’ve transcended from sports superstars to reality TV celebrities and social media gurus,” said Andy Meyer, Vice President of Original Programming for VERSUS. “The T.Ocho Show will be can’t-miss weekly appointment viewing for both sports fans and pop culture junkies to find out what this always unpredictable and rarely censored pair will say.”

The T.Ocho Show is the first ever weekly national football talk show to feature two active players. A host will referee the on-screen mayhem sure to take place between the two stars as they delve into various NFL-related topics, ranging from who is the second best receiving team in the league to their predictions for the season to who is the most over/underrated player in the game today, among others. Of course, their opinions aren’t limited to the action on the gridiron and the pair will delve into their off-field careers as reality stars, Twitter idols and pop culture commentators.

“This is coming from the perspective of two professionals. We play the game, we live the game and viewers will get to live it through us week in and week out,” said Chad OchoCinco. “VERSUS is taking a big risk giving us this show. It’s gonna be dangerous. Watch with care.”

“This show will be an open forum for me and Chad to talk about things that don’t get talked about in the mainstream media,” said Terrell Owens. “It’s an opportunity for two of the biggest loudmouths that have been in the league the last decade to voice their opinions and poke our chests out a little.”

I may have to watch the first episode just for the train wreck potential.
