The “Harbowl” Scored For NFL Network

The first overnight ratings are in from the Thanksgiving Day NFL tripleheader. NFL Network got its highest overnight ratings ever in the six year history of the Thursday Night Football series. It got a 6.0 and that’s up a whopping 43% from last year’s Thanksgiving game.

Whether it was the storyline of the first ever meeting of head coaching brothers in the San Francisco-Baltimore game or a close contest throughout or fans wanting to watch football on Thanksgiving night, NFL Network got some good numbers. It also helps the NFL Network that it’s on more cable providers at this time than when it first launched.

NFL PR spokesman Dan Masonson tweeted the news today.

We’ll get the overnight ratings for the other games throughout the day and I’ll pass them along when I get them.
