NFL Says We Are the 800 Lbs. Ratings Gorilla

Quick note from the NFL. It’s crowing about winning the Sunday TV ratings over everything else. And it was a meaningless exhibition or “preseason” game as the NFL likes to call it.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on NBC Most-Watched Sporting Event of Week

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game (Bills-Titans) on Sunday, Aug. 9 on NBC was the most watched sporting event of the week with 7.9 million viewers. Following are the five most watched sports programs of the week:

NBC NFL Preseason (Bills-Titans), 8/9, 7.9 million viewers

CBS World Series of Golf (Bridgestone Invit. Final Round-Tiger Woods won), 8/9, 6.3 million viewers

FOX Saturday Baseball (Red Sox-Yankees & Rangers-Angels), 8/8, 4.0 million viewers

You think the NFL likes those numbers? Is the Pope Catholic?
