NFL Network Quotage for Week 1 of the 2015 Season

We’re back with the pregame notage and quotage from the Sunday morning pregame shows. We’ll publish the quotes whenever we can. Let’s begin with NFL Network which has its pair of pregames, NFL GameDay First and NFL GameDay Morning.

Lots of quotes from six hours of programming. Here are some highlights:

NFL Network GameDay First
Quotes from NFL Network’s NFL GameDay First

– “He is the face of this team. He’s the guy that they all go to so I think he’s going to be sorely missed.” – Michael Robinson on Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor

– “He’s dug in. He’s a guy who really believes he deserves more money…He does a lot for this team, he does a lot of Pete Carroll’s dirty work; he talks to players that need talking to.” – Michael Robinson on Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor

– “One thing you don’t do as a player: you don’t ever give money back. And he’s going to give money back by not being there this week. He’s a captain, he has the C on his jersey. You want to fight for your money – I agree with you, holdout in training camp, that’s fine, do what you have to do. But when the games come, you have to show up because that defense is counting on him.” – Shaun O’Hara on Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor

– “At the end of the day, you have to find a way to outscore Tom Brady…The additions at the wide receiver position I think is going to set Ryan Tannehill up to have his best season ever. This is his best supporting cast.” – Shaun O’Hara on why the Miami Dolphins have the best chance to unseat the New England Patriots in the AFC East

NFL Network NFL GameDay Morning
Quotes from NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning

– “They’re the team to beat right now…Until you knock off the champs and this offense isn’t playing like that, they’re the team to beat.” – Kurt Warner on the New England Patriots

– “I’m concerned about the psychology of the Seattle Seahawks on game day. Kam is a big contributor to that. He’s a guy who speaks to the team before the team goes out. He’s the guy who speaks to the rest of the defensive backs before they take the field, he gets guys lined up.” – Michael Robinson on the Seattle Seahawks without safety Kam Chancellor

– “The Green Bay Packers better than any other organization, they find a way to replace guys…This is another one of those situations. A young guy, Ty Montgomery, we’re going to get that down the field explosion that he brought to Stanford – he’s going to bring it to Green Bay. The Packers do this better than any other organization that I know. They are prepared for these situations.” – Marshall Faulk on the Green Bay Packers overcoming the loss of wide receiver Jordy Nelson

– “This can’t be Aaron Rodgers vs. Jay Cutler if the Bears are going to win this game because I don’t believe the matchup is anywhere close to even…They’ve got to be able to get the ball to Matt Forte. I believe he’s the key in this matchup.” – Kurt Warner on the Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears matchup

And that will do it. We’ll have CBS quotage next.
