NFL Kills In the Ratings Yet Again

Yes, we know the NFL is explosive in the ratings. We know it kills the competition. We know fans love to watch it. And it always makes news when games come in 1-2 in the weekly ratings like this week.

NFL Games Rank 1-2 in Viewers for Week

NFL Games Top Local Ratings Record 88 Percent of Time
NFL game telecasts were the two most-watched programs on television last week (Nov. 15-21), according to The Nielsen Company. 
The CBS national telecast (mostly Colts-Patriots) was last week’s most-watched show among all programs on television with 23.6 million viewers — the 11th time in 11 weeks that an NFL game telecast has been television’s most-watched program.
Giants-Eagles on NBC Sunday night ranked second and was the week’s most-watched primetime program with 23.2 million viewers.
NFL games topped the ratings in 29 of 30 NFL markets last week.  For the season, NFL games rank as the week’s highest-rated program in local NFL markets 88 percent of the time – the highest rate ever through 11 weeks.
