REPORT: NFL Network & Time Warner Cable Reach Agreement In Time For This Sunday's Games

Well, this is certainly a surprise. After hearing the two sides had not been talking, Bloomberg’s Scott Soshnick breaks the news that NFL Network has reached a carriage agreement with the last holdout of the major cable and satellite providers, Time Warner.

Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand says the deal was reached in time for this weekend’s games meaning NFL Network and NFL RedZone will be made available to subscribers as soon as the agreement is finalized.

Time Warner had remained steadfast in refusing to add NFL Network keeping its 12 million subscribers across the country from accessing the channel’s Thursday Night Football games and other programming. However, it appears the two sides have reached a harmonic convergence.

The agreement could be formally announced as early as today. If it is, you’ll see the press release here.
