TD Garden Game 7 Viewing Party Definitely OFF

Well, after hearing from a source at NBC Sports that the network had approved of a Game 7 Stanley Cup Final TD Garden Viewing Party, it appeared that this was going to be smooth sailing. The Garden wanted it. The Bruins wanted it. Even the NHL wanted it. At one point, the Viewing Party had been posted on the Garden’s website and was quickly taken down.

But when it came to the City of Boston, Mayor Thomas Menino put his foot down and squashed it citing safety concerns. So there will not be a viewing party in Boston tomorrow night. More details to follow.

Who am I fooling? That’s it. No more details. You have all you need to know.
