NBC’s Last Sunday Night Football Preseason Game is in Oakland

Yup, the New Orleans Saints which will be part of the NFL’s regular season opener with defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay. And yes, that game on September 8 will be on NBC. On Sunday, the Saints will be in Oakland to take on the Raiders and the Sunday Night Football crew of Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and the feisty Michele Tafoya will be at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum or whatever the hell the structure is called these days.

The game is at 8 p.m. ET and here’s what NBC Sports is saying about it.

Last Sunday’s Chargers-Cowboys SNF Preseason Game Was Most-Watched Primetime Program of the Week

NEW YORK – August 24, 2011 – “Sunday Night Football,” last year’s No. 1 primetime program of the fall television season, continues its preseason schedule this Sunday as the Oakland Raiders host Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will have the call from the Overstock.com Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., with Michele Tafoya handling the sideline reporting duties. Coverage on NBC begins at 8 p.m. ET.

The Chargers-Cowboys “Sunday Night Football” preseason game on August 21 was seen by 10.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched NFL preseason game this season and the most-watched primetime program of the week.
