NBC Tries To Hype Pittsburgh-Indy on Sunday Night Football

Before Peyton Manning’s neck injury became a huge issue during the NFL Lockout, this game between traditional AFC powers Pittsburgh and Indianapolis appeared to be a big glamour matchup for NBC’s Sunday Night Football. But with Indy struggling at 0-2 without Manning, this appears to be a rather pedestrian matchup. In fact, NBC isn’t saying much about the game, providing rather generic copy for its press release.

But the game is on NBC’s schedule and it can’t flex any contests until Week 10 of the season. So this is what NBC Sports is saying about Pittsburgh-Indy. And we get a blurb tacked on about Hispanic Heritage Month.
