NBC & NBC Sports Network Combine For Four NHL Games Over Four Days

Starting Sunday, the networks of NBC Sports will team up for four NHL games over a span of four days. NBC Sports will have its Game of the Week with the Washington Capitals at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. Then NBC Sports Network comes in with its usual nightly NHL game between Monday and Wednesday.

NBC SPORTS GROUP CONTINUES NHL COVERAGE WITH FOUR GAMES SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY

NBC’s NHL Game of the Week is Sunday with Washington against Pittsburgh at 12:30 p.m. ET
NBC Sports Network starts week with St. Louis at Detroit on Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET

NEW YORK, N.Y. (January 20, 2012) – The NBC Sports Group will air four NHL games over four days beginning with NBC’s NHL Game of the Week when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Washington Capitals this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET. On Monday night, the NBC Sports Network will air primetime coverage of the St. Louis Blues taking on the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The NBC Sports Network continues coverage on Tues., Jan. 24, at 9 p.m. ET when the Minnesota Wild face the Colorado Avalanche. The week concludes with exclusive coverage of the Detroit Red Wings against the Montreal Canadiens on Wed., Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The team of Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst) and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside the Glass’ analyst) will call the action for NBC’s Sunday game. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and McGuire will call Monday’s game in Detroit, and John Forslund (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (‘Inside the Glass’ analyst) will serve as announcers for Tuesday’s game. The team of Strader, Olczyk and McGuire will call Wednesday’s primetime coverage. Liam McHugh and analyst Mike Milbury will cover all the intermissions for NBC’s coverage. Additionally, McHugh hosts NHL Live, NBC Sports Network’s pre- and post-game studio show, and is joined by expert analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones.

Monday, January 23 — St. Louis at Detroit, 7:30 p.m., NBC Sports Network
