NBC Had The Most-Watched Wild Card Saturday Ever

More reason for NBC to crow. It had the highest viewership for an NFL Wild Card Saturday playoff doubleheader and this goes back to when it started on ABC in 1990.  The two games on NBC (New Orleans at Seattle and New York Jets at Indianapolis) received an average viewership of 30.6 million people. The average rating was 17.7 with a 31 share and that’s up from 16.6/30 last year.

In addition, the primetime nightcap received a total of 33.4 million viewers, the highest Saturday night audience since 1994 when CBS televised the Lillehammer Winter Olympics. Those are absolutely stunning numbers in this day and age. We have your press release from the great people at NBC Sports
