Mike Milbury Pulled Off NBC

In the wake of being charged with assaulting a 12 year old boy during a youth hockey game outside Boston last week, CBC and NBC NHL analyst Mike Milbury has been temporarily removed from his duties on American television.

An NBC Sports statement goes as follows:

In our discussions with Mike, we both came to the conclusion that he should remain off the air while focusing on his affairs

The last time Milbury was on NBC’s air was on Wednesday when he appeared on Versus.

Milbury is a studio contributor for CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada and so far, no word from CBC on whether it will take similar action as NBC.

Milbury is the second NHL TV analyst to get into legal trouble. Matthew Barnaby lost his ESPN job earlier this month after an arrest on DUI charges.
