TNT Airs Monday Night NBA Doubleheader

After not showing the NBA last Thursday due to the NCAA Tournament, TNT is back on the NBA beat on Monday with a special doubleheader. Bulls/Magic and Mavs/Nuggets are the games for Monday. And with Turner putting its top talent, Marv Albert/Steve Kerr/Kevin Harlan/Brian Anderson/Reggie Miller/Craig Sager/Jamie Maggio on the NCAA Tournament plus with the Inside the NBA studio crew of Ernie Johnson, Jr./Kenny “The Jet” Smith/Charles Barkley in New York, TNT has replacement announcers.

You’ll Matt Winer host along with Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Scott in Atlanta while you’ll have Matt Devlin and Dick Stockton call the games. Check out the press release below.

TNT’s Special Monday Doubleheader Features Chicago at Orlando followed by Defending Champion Dallas at Denver

The NBA on TNT will continue Monday, March 19, with doubleheader action beginning at 8 p.m. ET as Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose visit the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard. Matt Devlin (play-by-play) will be courtside along with analyst Chris Webber and reporter David Aldridge. The second game of the night at 10:30 p.m. will feature the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki visiting the Denver Nuggets and Ty Lawson as both Western Conference teams fight to get the upper hand in the playoff picture. Dick Stockton (play-by-play) will call the game with analyst Mike Fratello and reporter Cheryl Miller. Following the second game, Inside the NBA with host Matt Winer and analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Scott will recap the night’s action.

Through 29 games, TNT’s NBA coverage continues to deliver double-digit gains vs. last year’s corresponding coverage. The NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.8 U.S. HH rating (+20% vs. 1.5 U.S. HH rating); 2,660,000 total viewers (+13% vs. 2,364,000 total viewers) and 2,010,000 households (+13% vs. 1,776,000 households) over last year’s corresponding coverage. Through the first half of the season, the Top 5 NBA regular-season games on cable have all aired on TNT.
