It’s a well-known fact that Pierre McGuire is a close talker. He’s that guy who stands too close to you to talk. There are several examples on YouTube like this video from 2008 during TSN’s coverage of the NHL Trade Deadline when Pierre stood way too close to Darren Dutchyshen. Why does he have to stand sideways and then tell Darren he has a long stick? That’s not too creepy.
And during a game in Buffalo, Pierre touches MSG Buffalo’s Rob Ray and as you can tell, Ray is none too happy about being grabbed. I thought Ray was going to pummel Pierre like he used to do to Tie Domi during his playing days with the Sabres.
