On Sunday, MLB on TBS will be in the Motor City for the Texas-Detroit series and a rematch of last year’s American League Championship Series.
Ernie Johnson, Jr. will be in town to call his third game of the season and he’ll be joined by analysts John Smoltz and David Wells. Starting this week, we’ll keep a running tally of the games called by the three Sunday MLB on TBS announcers, EJ, Brian Anderson and Dick Stockton.

“Sunday MLB on TBS” Continues with Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers in ALCS Rematch
“Sunday MLB on TBS” continues April 22 with a rematch of the 2011 American League Championship Series featuring Prince Fielder and the Detroit Tigers hosting Josh Hamilton and the Texas Rangers at 1 p.m. (ET) at Comerica Park. Max Scherzer is scheduled to start for the Tigers against Rangers probable starter Colby Lewis. Calling the action will be Ernie Johnson (play-by-play), John Smoltz (analyst) and David Wells (analyst).
TBS is the exclusive home of the 2012 MLB All-Star Selection Show airing Sunday, July 1. In October, the network will once again provide exclusive coverage of all four MLB Division Series (DS) and the American League Championship Series (ALCS). The network will announce future games on its schedule coinciding with its selection windows. The regular-season games included in the TBS MLB package will not be televised in the team’s home television territory.
TBS has broadcast MLB games for more than 30 years, serving as the exclusive home of the MLB Division Series (DS) and one League Championship Series (LCS) since 2007 and home of Atlanta Braves coverage from 1977 to 2007.
