MLB Network To Air Texas-Oakland This Afternoon

Since the game took place on the West Coast, you may have missed that the Oakland A’s beat Texas last night to tie the Rangers for the lead in the American League West. With that, the A’s and Rangers will play for the West Division title with the loser heading to the new American League Wild Card game on Friday either against the Baltimore Orioles or the New York Yankees.

It was announced by Brian Kenny during MLB Tonight last night that the game will be picked up by MLB Network at 3:30 p.m. ET today. So here’s the MLB Network announcement.

TEXAS RANGERS AT OAKLAND ATHLETICS GAME TODAY TO AIR LIVE ON MLB NETWORK AT 3:30 P.M. ET

Secaucus, N.J., October 3, 2012 – With the AL West on the line and the 2012 MLB regular season having reached its last scheduled day, the Texas Rangers at Oakland Athletics game today at 3:30 p.m. ET will air live on MLB Network. The Rangers and Athletics are currently tied for first place in the AL West with a 93-68 record.

MLB Network’s The Rundown will begin live at 12:00 p.m. ET leading up to the telecast and MLB Tonight featuring look-ins of live games, highlights and analysis will follow the game and air until the last game on today’s schedule is concluded. MLB Network will air a special Wild Card Game preview show tomorrow, October 4 live at 6:00 p.m. ET. The Rangers at Athletics game will be blacked out in both the Rangers’ and Athletics’ home television territories. Viewers in the Texas and Oakland markets will see the New York Mets at Miami Marlins matchup live at 4:00 p.m. ET.
