Thanks to the great Sox & Dawgs blog, this is the video of Inside MLB doing a little revisionist history on the Kirk Gibson home run in the 1988 World Series. Eck was hoping it would not be the home run and actually, it was not. For a couple of nights, Eck was fodder for EJ’s Neat-O Stat of the Night.
Great stuff. They’ve skewered Eck and Harold Reynolds in the ALCS. It’s really time for Cal to get it tonight.
Although nothing quite matches this skewer from last NBA season when Charles Barkley got it.
