Following the Texas Rangers’ Game Three win in the 2010 World Series, the Rangers’ Colby Lewis and Josh Hamilton spoke to MLB Tonight, while MLB Network’s Dan Plesac and Harold Reynolds gave their analysis of the game. He’s somebody that’s stubborn. He’s very stubborn and that’s very good for a ballplayer. He gets in there and battles and he’s done well. He’s rose to the occasion, the challenge and has been tremendous for us.”DAN PLESAC ON COLBY LEWIS:“I had a chance to talk to [Rangers pitching coach] Mike Maddux for about 15 minutes before Game Two and I said, boy, [Colby] Lewis was marvelous in that clincher against the Yankees. He looked at me straight and said, ‘He’s been marvelous for us all season long.’ He’s applied his craft, he’s a better pitcher and his time in Japan has made him use all his pitches. …This is a guy with good stuff, not great stuff, who’s not afraid to attack the strike zone with any of his pitches. He has the confidence he can throw a curveball or slider in fastball counts. He’s putting it together at the right time.”HAROLD REYNOLDS ON COLBY LEWIS:“On first pitch, most hitters are saying ‘I want a ball right here I can drive.’ [Colby] Lewis hit it on the outside, he nibbled, he moved it in and he changed speeds. He did such a great job of keeping hitters off balance.”DAN PLESAC ON THE RANGERS BULLPEN:“If the Rangers end up coming back and winning this series, you can look at that clutch performance from Darren O’Day. …You’re going to see a Ranger bullpen now with a lot more confidence. They’ve been battered around, but after a night like tonight, it was clean, it was crisp and they did what they’re supposed to do.”DAN PLESAC ON PAT BURRELL:“It seems like [Pat] Burrell is in one of those modes right now. He’s taking a lot of really good pitches and swinging at some bad pitches. He’s very indecisive. He has his mind made up on pitch to pitch if he’s going to swing or going to take.”
