Preview of Sports Media Weekly No. 164 with NBC’s Michelle Beadle

Michelle BeadleComing later tonight, the Sports Media Weekly podcast will be out with guests Pete Dougherty of the Albany Times Union and Michelle Beadle of NBC.

During the interview with Michelle, I had the opportunity to discuss several topics including her NBCSN show, The Crossover with Michelle Beadle, hosting the Olympics and what role she would like to have on the NHL on NBC. One reason why Michelle is such a good guest is that she’ll never duck a question and be candid with her answers.

I have three clips from tonight’s interview. The entire session is 19½ minutes, but this will give you a little taste of what we discussed.

The first clip is Michelle talking about the lack of promotion for The Crossover and what she’s doing to attract more viewers to the show.

Clip #2 has Michelle hoping that she gets to expand her role for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi than just host chair that she filled in London last year.

And Clip #3 is Michelle talking about the role she would like to play on the NHL on NBC and bring players up close and personal to the viewers.

The entire podcast will be up later tonight on iTunes, Sports Media Journal and here at Fang’s Bites. Keep an eye out.
