Inside Mad Men: Season 6, Episode, 10, “A Tale of Two Cities”

Ok, with just three episodes left in the season, we get quite an interesting installment tonight. Let’s go over what happened.

The Chicago riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention are a backdrop to the episode. Don, Roger and Harry Crane go to California in an attempt to drum up new business. Ted Chaough tries to get Chevy back on schedule. Jim Cutler attempts to drive a wedge into the new agency. Joan undermines Pete Campbell in getting Avon to sign with the company. Pete sulks.

Bob Benson gains an ally in Cutler while at the same time, trying to get on Ginsberg’s good side. Don, Roger and Harry go to a Hollywood party where they see Danny, a former SCDP employee, who’s a now a movie producer. Don tries Hashish and then almost drowns. Pete protests being cut out by Joan, but Peggy saves her. Pete sulks.

And the new agency finally comes up with a new name, Sterling Cooper & Partners. Pete sulks and then steals Stan’s joint to get stoned.
