TBS Airs the 2013 National League Championship Series

Starting on Friday, TBS’ coverage of the MLB Postseason continues with the National League Championship Series. TBS has two hallmark MLB franchises, the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers. These two teams last met in the NLCS in 1985 with Redbirds taking the series in six games.

The series begins Friday night and will be a mostly primetime affair with five out of the potential seven games scheduled for 8:07 or 8:37 p.m. starts. Only Saturday’s Game 2 and next Wednesday’s potential Game 5 would be in the afternoon.

Ernie Johnson, Jr., Ron Darling and Cal Ripken will call the action from the booth. Craig Sager will be the on-field reporter.

For studio coverage, Keith Olbermann hosts, League Division Series holdovers Pedro Martinez and Tom Verducci will be the analysts and they’ll be joined by Gary Sheffield who did a guest stint on TBS over the weekend.

TBS’ Exclusive Coverage of the National League Championship Series – Los Angeles Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals – Begins Friday, October 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET

TBS will exclusively televise the 2013 National League Championship Series (NLCS) between the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals beginning with Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 11, at 8:30 p.m. ET. Sports Emmy Award-winning commentator Ernie Johnson will call the series alongside analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken with reporter Craig Sager.

The National League Championship Series Coverage on TBS will get underway 30 minutes prior to each game throughout the series with the MLB Postseason Pre-Game on TBS hosted by Keith Olbermann with analysts Pedro Martinez, Gary Sheffield and Tom Verducci. Following each game, the studio team will conclude the day’s action with the post-game show. Rachel Nichols will also provide reports throughout the American League Championship Series (ALCS).
