Two More Press Releases

I have two more press releases for you. One has to deal with tonight’s viewing so I want to get this up before it’s too late.

Golf Channel runs an interview with Tiger Woods on Golf Central.

Tiger Woods Talks State of his Golf Game, Knee and Impact in Golf in Golf Central Interview

GOLF CHANNEL’s Steve Sands interviewed Tiger Woods today in a one-on-one interview that will air as part of a highlight package on Golf Central tonight at 6 and 11:30 p.m. ET. The following is a transcript of the interview:

SANDS: Tiger, how important is it for you to get a win early in the comeback?

WOODS: I think it would be nice. It would be great for the confidence, and obviously any win you get before Augusta is a nice little bonus.

SANDS: Where is your game right now you think?

WOODS: It feels good you know, but I just need to get rounds in. I need to get in that competitive flow, and stroke play is just a different animal. It would be nice to get back out there and get that rhythm of four rounds again.

SANDS: You hear about guys in team sports – like someone who tears an ACL – and they’ve got to get hit first to realize its okay. So you’ve played two days, two rounds I guess in match play, do you think about the knee at all? Did you think about it, do you think about it?

WOODS: I thought about it there a lot yeah, because obviously I haven’t played. I haven’t tested it and that was big for my confidence. I should be able to experience that, and go up and down those hills and hit shots off uneven lies, and do all the different things. That certainly gave me a lot of confidence, and gave me a lot of assurance that the leg is good.

SANDS: Your time away from the game, did you kind of realize the impact that you had on the game? And now that you’re back do you realize that your influence and impact is as great as some people say it is?

WOODS: Ah, it’s hard, because I’m in that hole, you know. It’s actually hard to see what’s out there if you’re in the forest. But, I know that I’ve helped out the TOUR and hopefully I can continue to do that. We’re in a position now that it’s going to take all of us to help out the TOUR and we’re all going to have to do our part.
