Feherty (Series Premiere)
Airtime: Monday, 10-11 p.m.
Tuesday, 9-10 p.m.
Host: David Feherty
Guest: Lee Trevino

On Monday’s 10 p.m. ET debut of his much-anticipated Golf Channel series, David Feherty will be granted rare access to the normally private, but ever-entertaining Lee Trevino for an extended conversation about the self-made golfer and hall-of-famer’s life and career.  On the heels of this week’s playing of the U.S. Open and 40 years after his memorable 18-hole playoff victory over Jack Nicklaus in the 1971 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club, Trevino not only will remember his greatest wins and funniest stories, but also will reveal how a poor boy of Mexican ancestry from Dallas, Texas, overcame the odds to become arguably the greatest shotmaker and one of the most-loved personalities in the history of golf.  The interview also will reveal Trevino’s personal thoughts on Jack Nicklaus – the man – and Tiger Woods – the golfer.

A self-admitted alcoholic who suffers from mental illness, Feherty also will share a personal story of his own addictions in the first episode and how he continues to fight his demons every day.  The series’ premiere episode of Feherty will be presented as a special hour-long version.  The show also will encore on Tuesday night when the 12-episode series settles into its regular Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET timeslot.

The first competitor eliminated on the series, Piri Borja (Coral Springs, Fla.), took his first step in playing his way back in the competition on last week’s episode.  On Monday’s new episode of Big Break Indian Wells, Borja will have one final hurdle to climb – defeat all seven remaining competitors head-to-head.  One competitor will be eliminated each week on Big Break Indian Wells, with the champion taking home one of the biggest prizes in Big Break history – an exemption to the 2012 Zurich Classic of New Orleans and a minimum of $55,000 in cash.
