Golf Channel’s Live Tournament Action This Week

Golf Channel is busy this week with coverage of four tournaments. The only tour not in action this weekend will be the LPGA. Everyone else will be busy including the PGA Tour which will be in San Antonio for the Texas Open. Let’s see what else is on tap for Golf Channel and the schedule of tournaments and times.

  • Kevin Na and Caddy Mic’d Up – PGA TOUR professional Kevin Na and his caddy will be fitted with microphones during Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage on Thursday.  Viewers will have the opportunity to eavesdrop on conversations between the two throughout the opening round of play.
  • Cabrera, Ogilvy and Scott Featured GroupingThursday’s tournament coverage will feature the marquee grouping of defending champion Adam Scott, seven-time PGA TOUR winner Geoff Ogilvy and 2009 Masters Champion Angel Cabrera.  All three figured prominently in the final round of the Masters last week, with each sharing the lead on the back nine at Augusta National.
  • Golf Channel To Air Live, Weekend Coverage: In addition to early-round coverage, Golf Channel will air two hours of live action Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET leading in to CBS Sports’ live coverage.

  • Fresh Express Classic Kicks off Golf Channel’s Nationwide Tour Season – The Fresh Express Classic at TPC Stonebrae kicks off Golf Channel’s 2011 Nationwide Tour coverage.  The cable network is the exclusive television home for the Nationwide Tour.
  • “Caddy Knows Best” and “Look Who’s in the Truck Returns” – Two of Golf Channel’s signature features during Nationwide Tour coverage returns for 2011.  Caddy Knows Best – a humorous spin-off from the game show Dating Game – and Look Who’s In the Truck – where a Nationwide Tour professional trades in his golf clubs for an assignment in the production truck during the live broadcast.
