A game that started earlier and ended earlier on the East Coast led to a primetime win for Fox in the 8 p.m. to 9:52 p.m. time slot. While the game started at 6:57 p.m. officially, Fox was allowed to adjust for the period starting at 8 p.m., when primetime starts. So during that 112 minute span, 7.3 rating and a 13 share. Overall, the game received 11.5 million viewers which isn’t bad for a Saturday with heavy college football competition.

Saturday night’s telecast grew steadily throughout the night peaking at an 8.1/15 at 9:30 PM ET as the Texas Rangers won their first game of the series.San Francisco led all markets with a 30.0/57 for Game 3 followed by Dallas with a 26.9/48.
