MLB on Fox Has Another Trio of Games For The Country

Fans won’t see all three, but one of the trio of games being offered by the Fox Television Network. Most of the country, almost ¾ of the country will see a potential postseason matchup between the Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox live from Fenway Park.

With this being another off week for Joe Buck on Fox Saturday Baseball, it means he’ll have called a total of 12 out of a possible 23 games. I wonder if we’ll see him on the final weekend.

Here’s Fox’s press release.

FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK ENTERS THE STRETCH DRIVE – The final month push for a playoff spot is on as FOX Sports presents three exciting matchups on Saturday, Sep. 3 (4:00 PM ET). RINGOLSBY: GIBSON’S CONFIDENCE INFUSES D-BACKS DOWN THE STRETCH – Coming into the season, many thought another NL West crown was a forgone conclusion the World Series Champion Giants. However, the Diamondbacks have surprised many and hold a six-game lead. FOXSports.com writer Tracy Ringolsby gives a lion’s share of the credit to D-Backs manager, Kirk Gibson. “It was four weeks ago,” Ringolsby writes. “The Arizona Diamondbacks had just won back-to-back games to open a series against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park to move into a tie for the National League West lead with the defending World Series champions. Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall sat across the desk from Kirk Gibson in the visiting manager’s office. ‘I told him, ‘Wait until the talent (in the farm system) comes up,’ Hall said. ‘Gibby looked at me and said, `We have talent. It’s called heart.’ ‘The Diamondbacks also have a growing confidence and a growing lead in the division.”
