For the first time this season, Joe Buck will not work a Fox Saturday Baseball telecast meaning he’ll have worked four out of five possible weeks for the MLB on Fox.
Instead, Matt Vasgersian leaves the Fox Saturday Baseball Pregame Show studios at MLB Network headquarters in New Jersey and join Tim McCarver in Detroit for an American League Central Division rivalry game between the Chicago White Sox and the Tigers live from Comerica Park.
Other games include the Arizona Diamondbacks at the New York Mets with Kenny Albert on the call working for his third broadcast entity this week (MSG Radio, NBC Sports Group and Fox) and Milwaukee at San Francisco.
Fox Saturday Baseball returns to its normal timeslot of 4 p.m. ET with a pregame hour filled by MLB Network. With Matt Vasgersian out of the MLB Network studios, it means the raspy-voiced Greg Amsinger will be the host on Fox Saturday Baseball Pregame.

FOX Sports.com MLB writer Jon Paul Morosi spoke with Bautista and his struggles and those of Pujols. “It was by geographic happenstance that I spoke with Albert Pujols and Jose Bautista, both stricken with the April malaise, during the same four-day period,” Morosi writes. “Of the two, Bautista provided a more lucid account of his symptoms and the possible remedies for his affliction. Perhaps not surprisingly, he’s been the first to show signs of recovery. By that, I mean Bautista belted a home run Tuesday that on an open-roof night could have landed on a runway at Pearson Airport.”
