The Los Angeles Daily News’ Tom Hoffarth reports in his Farther Off the Wall Blog that Fox Sports’ Jeanne Zelasko underwent surgery on Friday to remove a cancerous tumor on her thyroid gland. Jeanne’s husband told Hoffarth that she’s expected to be home today. Jeanne has done a very good job on Fox hosting its MLB coverage and did work on the BCS this month before undergoing surgery.
She learned just before Christmas that she had the tumor, but was in very good spirits when she talked to Hoffarth last month.
We hope she makes a full recovery and is back at work in April when the MLB regular season begins.
