BREAKING NEWS: Jay Glazer & Daryl Johnston Hired By NFL Network, But Will Remain On Fox

This just in as they say, Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand who’s one of the best sports media writers in the country has broken another story. He tweets late Tuesday/early Wednesday that Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer and Fox Sports’ number two NFL analyst Daryl Johnson will join NFL Network.

Both will remain in their current capacities on Fox Sports. Glazer will still be the main information on Fox NFL Sunday and Johnston will continue to be teamed with Kenny Albert and Tony Siragusa on the 2nd best game for the NFL on Fox.

The Johnston hiring could have been foreseen when NFL Network used him for the Super Bowl announcement show earlier this year. The Glazer move is a total surprise.

I expect a press release on this Wednesday and there will be reaction on the Sports Media Weekly podcast with myself and co-host Keith Thibault as well.

I’ll continue to monitor this developing story.
