2014 World Series Game 5 Garners 12.6 Million Viewers; Lowest Gm. 5 Viewership in History

Going against Sunday Night Football, Game 5 of the World Series held its own, but finished below last year’s Game 5. Noting that last year’s Game 5 was opposite Monday Night Football on ESPN, this year’s edition went against Green Bay-New Orleans on NBC.

The final rating for Game 5 was a 7.3 with a 12 share. It averaged 12.6 million viewers which is the lowest number ever for a World Series Game 5. Compared to last year’s Game 5 which had Boston at St. Louis, 2013 had an 8.9 rating with 14.4 million viewers.

Game 5’s numbers were better than Game 4 on Saturday which received a 6.3/12 and 10.7 million viewers.

We have Saturday’s and Sunday’s numbers below.
