The Fall Classic begins Wednesday on Fox and it means that Joe Buck and Tim McCarver will team up for their 14th World Series together (the last 12 consecutively) bringing out the worst in each other. The Texas Rangers will hope the 2nd straight year in the World Series as American League champions will be the charm as they take on the National League champs the St. Louis Cardinals and their infamous Rally Squirrel that changed the course of the National League Division Series against Philadelphia.
For Buck, he doesn’t have to go far as the St. Louisian will call his hometown Cardinals in the Fall Classic for the third time (2004 and 2006 were the others).
Chris Rose, who will try to show that he’s chummy with the players, will host and be joined by Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and Eric Karros. We have the Fox Sport press release below.
