Fox Sports 1’s Announcing Assignments for Women’s World Cup, Round of 16

Today begins the Round of 16 phase of the Women’s World Cup in Canada. We have a doubleheader to kick things off today starting with Germany vs. Sweden this afternoon followed by Communist China vs. Cameroon.

The Round of 16 continues on Sunday with a tripleheader highlighted by Canada vs. Switzerland. Monday will have another doubleheader featuring the 2011 WWC runner-up United States vs. Colombia. Then on Tuesday, the Round of 16 concludes with defending champion Japan resuming its title defense against Netherlands at 10 p.m. ET.

All Round of 16 games will be aired on Fox Sports 1. Justin Kutcher and Aly Wagner will call three games in the Round of 16. JP Dellacamera, Cat Whitehill and former U.S. National Team coach Tony DiCicco call two games including USA-Colombia. And Fox MLS voice John Strong and Danielle Staton get to accrue frequent flier mileage with their trek across-country to call games in Moncton in Eastern Canada then in Vancouver on the Pacific coast. Reporter Julie Stewart-Binks will report from the sidelines for three games, one in Edmonton and two in Vancouver.
