We bring you what’s in store with Fox Sports for Week 3. For the second straight week, Fox stations will get one game in their respective markets. Among the highlighted contests for Fox, it will have Tampa Bay at Dallas, San Francisco hoping to get to 3-0, taking on the Minnesota Vikings and a battle of 2-0 teams, Philadelphia at Arizona.

Pereira: Both Sides Need To Compromise in NFL Referee LockoutNFL ON FOX WEEK 3: NINERS LOOK TO GO 3-0 – The NFL on FOX presents singleheader coverage of six games on Sunday, Sept. 23. The 1:00 PM ET window opens as Tony Romo and the Cowboys look to get back to their winning ways when they return home to host Josh Freeman and the Bucs. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver call the action from Cowboys Stadium. In Minneapolis, Adrian Peterson and the Vikings face their toughest test of the season when they host Patrick Willis and the powerful 49ers. Coming off a disappointing outing last week in Green Bay, Jay Cutler and the Bears take on Sam Bradford and the Rams. Also, Matthew Stafford and the Lions travel to Nashville to face the Titans. The 4:00 PM ET window features Michael Vick and the Eagles battling the Cardinals in the desert. Meanwhile, Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons head to San Diego to face Philip Rivers and the Chargers.

AIKMAN: TV EYES ARE ALWAYS ON THE QUARTERBACK – Quarterbacks getting caught yelling at their teammates on camera was a hot topic this week. NFL on FOX lead analyst Troy Aikman talked about the scrutiny quarterbacks face today on Chicago’s WSCR “The Mully and Hanley Show.” “(Television) gets a lot of shots of these guys and nothing goes unnoticed,” said Aikman. “There’s always a camera on the quarterback even when he’s not on the field and so there’s not anything that can really happen that TV cameras don’t catch. I understand tempers flare during the course of a game but from the vantage point of watching it in my living room, it [Cutler yelling at Webb] didn’t look very good.”
PEREIRA ON NFLRA LOCKOUT: BOTH SIDES NEED TO COMPROMISE FOR THE GAME – FOX Sports NFL rules analyst Mike Pereira took time with Fox Sports Radio’s Dan Patrick show on Tuesday morning to discuss what he saw from the NFL replacement officials in Week 2. “Utter chaos,” said Pereira. “I saw a lack of control with the replacement officials. You have players and coaches that have lost respect for these officials and they know they’re getting away with more. You saw more rough and tumble stuff going on after a play is over. As this thing goes on, the coaches trust the officials less. When I watched Monday night’s game, I was sad because it’s not the NFL I know.” If Pereira was still head of NFL officiating, he doesn’t know that there would be much more he’d be able to do within his power than what current head of officiating Carl Johnson is already doing. “I’d tell Commissioner Goodell that the mistakes we’re seeing are only the tip of the iceberg. There are many more mistakes that are coming up in critical points in the game and are not all timing or rule issues.” Pereira believes both sides, the NFLRA and NFL need to compromise. “We need to somehow light a fire under both sides to get back to the table, lock the door and don’t leave until you have a deal.”
