FOX NFL Insider Jay Glazer revealed that not even Patriots’ wide receiver Danny Amendola knows the extent of his own injuries: “There are actually two injuries with Danny Amendola right now. The one thing they know is he tore his adductors, which are the muscles that pretty much connect your hip to your leg. But, the big thing here is whether or not he has a sports hernia. One of the doctors told him, ‘You have a sports hernia,’ another told him, ‘You don’t have a sports hernia.’ If he does have it, he’ll need surgery, and the recovery time is about three to four weeks. So, I know that Danny’s actually sending his film down to about three more doctors and should get the answer. If he needs the surgery, again, you’re out about three or four more weeks. The bottom line is this guy played last week in that fourth quarter with torn adductors and maybe a sports hernia – very, very tough guy.”

NFL Insider Jay Glazer on the NFL’s reaction to claims that players are faking injuries: “The Commissioner’s office sent out a memo this week to all teams, owners, head coaches, GMs saying enough, no more. Do not talk about another team’s players. The emphasis was because of the whole faking injuries thing. They don’t want anybody questioning whether or not somebody really is hurt or not. And they threatened, if you do this, we could hit you with conduct detrimental to the league. That is a hefty punishment, that’s not just a slap on the wrist.”

Jay Cutler’s had a problem in the past with the negative plays. Marc will do a good job of cutting down those negative plays. You look at last week, he completed over 63 percent of his passes and, and this is the big key – zero sacks.”

NFL Insider Jay Glazer reported that Suh’s aggressive style in practice is causing problems in Detroit: “Here’s the big problem – you talk to people inside Detroit and they say even in practice, Ndamukong gives guys the business. He’ll slam a guy’s head against the ground, he’ll stomp on a guy, he’ll take little shots at guys, and guys are concerned that if he can’t control himself even in practice, how can he control himself against somebody else’s jersey? Also, they hit him with a $100,000 fine, but there was a consideration of a suspension. The next time, there will be a suspension.
