NBC’s Sunday Night Football Previews Week 9

Let’s look at what NBC is saying about the Sunday Night Football game between AFC North Division rivals Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

The press release is below.

STEELERS HOST RAVENS IN HEATED AFC NORTH BATTLE ON “SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL”

“The most electric game that we do every year.” – Collinsworth on Ravens-Steelers
COVERAGE BEGINS WITH FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA AT 7 PM ET

NEW YORK – November 2, 2011 – The Ravens (5-2) head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers (6-2) in what Cris Collinsworth calls “the most electric game we do every year” on Sunday Night Football.

Calling Ravens-Steelers will be six-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his 26th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 12-time Emmy Award-winner Collinsworth, who won the Emmy for outstanding event analyst in both of his seasons in the Sunday Night Football booth; and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya, in her first season on SNF.

Coverage begins Sunday with Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET with 22-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas hosting the program live from inside Lincoln Financial Field. Costas is joined on site by Michaels and Collinsworth for reaction to the afternoon games.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from Studio 8G at NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza studios and is joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney Harrison, Peter King of Sports Illustrated and Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk on NBCSports.com. Alex Flanagan will report from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif., on the Packers-Chargers game.

ON RAVENS-STEELERS

Collinsworth: “No matter what happens, when you get Baltimore and you get Pittsburgh together, and we’ve talked about it before, it’s probably the most electric game that we do every year.”

Dungy: “John Harbaugh has to be concerned. The first game of the year against Pittsburgh they (the Ravens) ran for 170 yards. They prompted all this old, slow Pittsburgh defensive talk. They haven’t been that way since, and have to get the running game back going into Pittsburgh this week.”

ON STEELERS

Harrison: “The Steelers are primarily a zone blitzing team, but they revamped their playbook. They came in and played tight man-to-man coverage (against the Patriots). You’ve got to give a lot of credit to cornerback Ike Taylor. He completely shutdown Wes Welker, followed him all around the field.”

We move to other press releases after this.
