NEW YORK – December 22, 2010 – MVP candidate Mike Vick leads the Philadelphia Eagles, who are in first place in the NFC East and coming off their remarkable comeback win over the New York Giants, against the Minnesota Vikings from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa., in a “Sunday Night Football” flex game.
Calling Vikings-Eagles will be six-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), who is in his 25th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 11-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, who last year, his first in the SNF booth, won the Emmy for outstanding event analyst; and sideline reporter Andrea Kremer about whom TV Guide said is “one of TV’s best sports correspondents.”
Coverage begins with “Football Night in America” at 7 p.m. ET Sunday with Bob Costas, who won the outstanding studio host Emmy last year, hosting live from inside the stadium. Dan Patrick will co-host “Football Night” from NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza studios joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach and Emmy-nominated Dungy, two-time Super Bowl winner Harrison, and Sports Illustrated’s Peter King. Alex Flanagan will report from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., for the Giants-Packers game.
“Football Night” (7:30-8:15 pm) is averaging 8.4 million viewers through its first 15 weeks, its most ever for that time frame and up 14 percent vs. 2009’s 7.4 million viewers.

DUNGY ON A POSSIBLE LETDOWN BY THE EAGLES: “As a coach, these are games you worry about.  ‘Hey, we went to New York, big, big emotional game.  We’re down.  We won it.  A game we had to win.  Now we’re coming back and we’re home and we should win the game.  Don’t relax guys.  We have to come out and play with that same energy, that same fire.’  I’m sure that’s what Andy Reid is going to be talking about all week.”
HARRISON ON EAGLES LAST WEEK VS. GIANTS: “They showed me a lot of mental toughness against the Giants.  Down three touchdowns, to be able to come back and overcome that adversity…their playmakers making plays all over the field…Mike Vick making plays with his legs and his arms.  Andy Reid has to be proud.”
DUNGY ON VICK: “Vick was unbelievable in the second half against that pressure.  All these different blitzes, he’s making people miss. He’s playing lights out.”

That’s going to do it.
