Videos of the Week – This is SportsCenter Ads

Since ESPN is airing its self-serving “Best of ‘This is SportsCenter'” tonight, I figured I would actually give you some of my favorites. I have to admit, this is a very good ad campaign and while I have an affinity for the older ads, the new ones are very good as well.

Rookie Hazing – Dan Patrick and Karl Ravech play tricks on rookie anchor, Larry Beil.

International Editions – Dan Patrick & Kenny Mayne do international versions of SportsCenter.

Shue for Steiner – SportsCenter trades Charley Steiner for Melrose Place’s Andrew Shue. Great ad.

Maria Sharapova – Stuart Scott plays a practical joke on Maria.

Bill Bradley – Bob Ley and Keith Olbermann interview former US Senator Bill Bradley for a SportsCenter anchor.

Craig Kilborn’s Assistant – The trials and tribulations of being a SportsCenter assistant.

Y2K – My favorite ad of the series. Featuring Charley Steiner, this is about a Y2K test at the Worldwide Leader. Charley at the end is classic.
