The 2015 MLB Postseason Schedule

Major League Baseball has released the schedule for the 2015 Postseason and for the third time, the World Series will start in very late October, in fact, this year’s Fall Classic begins on Tuesday, October 27, the second time it will do so. Back in 2001, the World Series began on October 27 due to a week delay in the season due to 9/11. And in 2009, the World Series started on October 28 because of the World Baseball Classic that again delayed the season by a week.

Should the World Series not end in a sweep, the elimination Games 5, 6 and 7 would be played on November 1, 3 and 4, respectively.

For the Wild Card games, on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday and October 7, ESPN will air the American League Wild Card while TBS will take the National League Wild Card game.

In the Divisional Series round, TBS will carry the entire NLDS. Fox, Fox Sports 1 and MLB Network will have the American League Division Series. In fact, the American League Division Series will kick off the DS round on Thursday, October 8.

Then for the League Championship Series, that begins on Friday, October 16 with Game 1 of the ALCS. Fox and Fox Sports 1 will carry the American League Championship Series while TBS airs the National League Championship Series.

Fox will take the World Series with the American League having the home field advantage.

Here’s the schedule in its entirety:
