ESPN Radio to Air NBA All-Star Game on Sunday

As it has dating back to the 1990’s ESPN Radio will have complete coverage of NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans.

It will begin with the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, February 14, then the All-Star Saturday Night featuring the Skills Competition and it all culminates with the All-Star Game on Sunday.

Kevin Calabro will be on hand to call the play-by-play. Jon Barry will be the analyst. Marc Stein and Shelley Smith will report from the sidelines.

Marc Kestecher will host and P.J. Carlisimo will be the analyst.

ESPN will also bring Mike & Mike’s radio show as well as the unwatchable First Take to New Orleans.

On TV, ESPN will air the All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.

For the 18th consecutive year, ESPN Radio will provide comprehensive coverage of NBA All-Star 2014, culminating with an exclusive radio broadcast of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Kevin Calabro will describe the action throughout the weekend with analyst Jon Barry. They will be joined by studio analysts Marc Kestecher and P.J. Carlesimo and reporters Marc Stein and Shelley Smith. ESPN Radio’s NBA All-Star coverage is also available on espnradio.com and the ESPN Radio app.

First Take, Mike & Mike and SportsCenter On Site

  • First Take with Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith and Cari Champion will emanate from the NBA All-Star Jam Session at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. on ESPN2 with special guests and a live audience;
  • ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike with Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg will be on site at the Hyatt Regency hotel on Friday, Feb. 14, from 6-10 a.m. with a simulcast available on ESPN2;
  • SportsCenter will provide live coverage throughout All-Star Weekend from the Hyatt Regency hotel, NBA All-Star Jam Session and the New Orleans Arena. Segments begin at 10 a.m. each day with Sage Steele, analyst Tim Legler and reporters Mark Jones, Marc Stein, Chris Broussard and J.A. Adande.

2014 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

ESPN will present the 2014 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Friday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., from the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Mark Jones will provide commentary with analyst Jon Barry and reporters Stuart Scott and Chris Broussard. ESPN NBA Countdown analysts Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose will serve as celebrity coaches while SportsCenter anchor Stan Verrett, ESPN Radio’s Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic and three-time NBA Champion and ESPN NBA analyst Bruce Bowen will play in the game. NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Sports® Basketball Game

ESPN3 will provide live coverage of the third annual NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Sports® Basketball Game from the NBA All-Star Jam Session at Sprint Arena in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. The game will feature 12 Special Olympics athletes from around the world playing alongside NBA Legends Dikembe Mutombo, Detlef Schrempf, Ron Harper, A.C. Green, Sam Perkins and current WNBA stars Tamika Catchings, Lindsey Harding, Ruth Riley and Elena Delle Donne, a Special Olympics Global Ambassador. NBA rising stars Michael Carter-Williams, Victor Oladipo, Tim Hardaway, Jr. and Trey Burke will serve as honorary coaches with father-son duo Dell and Stephen Curry participating in the honorary tip-off and All-Star Kevin Love handling player-introduction duties.
