Baseball Pennant Races on TV This Weekend

As we’re in the final two weekends of the MLB regular season, lets give you the games that will be aired throughout the weekend.

First, the three games on Fox led by Red Sox and Yankees. As usual, Joe Buck is not calling MLB on Fox so he’s stuck on 13 games out of a possible 25 weeks. When the regular season concludes next weekend, he’ll have done half of the season. It’s time for Fox to find someone who will call the entire season. Hire Matt Vasgersian from MLB Network or get someone from one of the Fox Sports Net affiliates who wants to work the entire slate of games. Curt Gowdy, Joe Garagiola and Vin Scully worked the entire season for NBC when it had the Game of the Week. This is out of hand.

Yankees/Red Sox Battle & Rangers Potential Division Clinching Game Added to FOX Saturday Schedule

THE POSTSEASON BECKONS; REDS, RANGERS PLAY POTENTIAL DIVISION CLINCHING GAMES – The FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK kicks off coverage of its penultimate weekend of regular season MLB action on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 4:00 PM ET. With playoff positioning on their minds, Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees look to put the Red Sox away for good when these historical rivals hookup in the Bronx. In San Diego, the Padres hope to remain in the tight NL playoff race when they host the NL Central-leading Reds. This week, the pregame show originates live from PETCO Park in San Diego with host Chris Rose. Once game action begins, Rose joins Mark Grace in the booth to call play-by-play of Cincinnati’s potential division-clinching game.
FOX Sports, at the request of FOX Sports Southwest and the Texas Rangers, has added Saturday’s Rangers at Oakland Athletics game to its FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK schedule. The game was not scheduled for broadcast on any outlet, so the move enables Rangers fans throughout the region to view what could potentially be the Rangers’ A.L. West division clinching game.
