ESPN Radio Announcing Commentators for MLB Wild Card and LDS

So ESPN Radio has provided the announcing assignments for the MLB Postseason. ESPN Radio’s Sunday Night Baseball crew of Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton will be on the American League side at least for the Wild Card and the League Division Series. And 2/3 of the ESPN TV Sunday Night Baseball team, Dan Shulman and Orel Hershiser will be on the National League side.

In addition, ESPN employees Dave Flemming and Michael Kay have been tapped to call games. Of course, Dave is one of the radio voices of the San Francisco Giants and also calls West Coast college football and basketball for ESPN. Kay not only call the New York Yankees on YES, but he also hosts a radio show on ESPN Radio in New York.

Baseball Tonight throughout MLB Playoffs; ESPN Radio’s 16th Season of Postseason Action

ESPN will provide comprehensive, multiplatform coverage of the Major League Baseball postseason across ESPN, ESPN Radio and ESPN.com beginning this week and extending through the final out of the World Series. Baseball Tonight will anchor the coverage with nightly telecasts throughout the postseason led by host Karl Ravech with analysts Barry Larkin, John Kruk, Aaron Boone, Curt Schilling, Manny Acta, Nomar Garciaparrra and Mark Mulder. SportsCenter will also present daily highlights, news and analysis including segments from Baseball Tonight commentators.

ESPN Radio will enter its 16th consecutive Major League Baseball postseason on Tuesday, Oct. 1, beginning with the Wild Card games. Sunday Night Baseball’s play-by-play voice Dan Shulman and analyst Orel Hershiser will call the National League Wild Card game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the National League Division Series (NLDS) between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves, the National League Championship Series (NLCS) and the World Series.

ESPN Radio’s Sunday Night Baseball team of Jon Sciambi and analyst Chris Singleton will describe the American League Wild Card game (Tampa Bay Rays or Texas Rangers against the Cleveland Indians), the American League Division Series (ALDS) between the AL Wild Card winner and the Boston Red Sox, and the American League Championship Series (ALCS). Additionally, Dave Flemming and analyst Rick Sutcliffe will call the NLDS between the NL Wild Card winner and St. Louis Cardinals while Michael Kay and analyst Aaron Boone will describe the ALDS between the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers.

ESPN.com will provide extensive game coverage, feature stories and breaking news throughout the postseason from ESPN MLB Insiders Buster Olney, Tim Kurkjian, Jayson Stark, Jerry Crasnick, Jim Caple and Jim Bowden. ESPN.com highlights include:
