Fang’s Bites Podcast No. 5: Super Bowl Edition, Part I — Fox Sports

On Tuesday, your humble blogger went to New York to cover the Fox Sports Media Day at the NFL Media headquarters inside the Sheraton Times Square Hotel. There, I was able to interview four of Fox Sports’ personnel about their preparation and anticipation for the Big Game at the New Meadowlands in New Jersey.

In this podcast which is Part I of a two part edition, I speak with the following:

  • Eric Shanks, Fox Sports President
  • Fox NFL Sunday co-host Curt Menefee and Fox NFL Sunday insider Jay Glazer
  • Erin Andrews, NFL on Fox sideline reporter and Fox College Saturday host

All give their insight on Super Bowl prep and how they see the game shaping up. From Eric Shanks, we discuss the differences of Fox airing its last Super Bowl, XLV in Arlington, TX to this one. Glazer and Menefee discuss their friendship and the chemistry of Fox NFL Sunday plus we go into a talk about UFC. Andrews talks about her love of sports, the criticisms from blogs and how she has lost her privacy.

All this in Part I of the Super Bowl edition of the Fang’s Bites podcast which you can find right here or on iTunes at Fang’s Bites. Or you bypass everything by clicking here.

Part II will be released tomorrow. The guests include Neil Best of Newsday and Robin Carlin of Mile High Sports in Denver.
