Comcast SportsNet New England to Cover Celtics Rolling Rally

The flagship TV network for the Boston Celtics will have extensive coverage of the Rolling Rally in the Hub on Thursday. Here’s the press release from CSN:

comcast sportsnet To Provide Live Pre-Rally Coverage; Rolling Rally Coverage and One-Hour Drive for 17 Special

BURLINGTON, MABanner 17 has become a reality and the home for Boston Celtics basketball all season long provides comprehensive coverage of Thursday’s celebration.

Comcast SportsNet will begin with full coverage of a special pre-rally gathering of Celtics players, coaches, executives and legends from inside the Garden beginning at 9:30 a.m. Comcast SportsNet’s Gary Tanguay and Donny Marshall will host the gathering. Comcast SportsNet will be the only media outlet feeding live coverage from the pre-event gathering.

Coverage continues with the start of the rally beginning at 11:00 a.m. Comcast SportsNet’s Greg Dickerson will interview the players, coaches, legends and executives as they board the duck boats. Dickerson, Tommy Heinsohn and Mike Gorman will ride along and provide coverage from the parade. Comcast SportsNet’s rally coverage will also be shown in Boston via centrally located jumbotrons.

Comcast SportsNet’s coverage concludes at 6:30 p.m. with a special one-hour Drive for 17 show that will recap the Celtics playoff battles with the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons and arch-rival Los Angeles Lakers.

Comcast SportsNet’s full programming schedule on Thursday includes:

Pre-Rally Event

9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Gary Tanguay and Donny Marshall host pre-rally gathering of players, executives and legends. Event to include unique interviews of players 24 hours after the series clinching win. Transitioning to the rally, Dickerson will interview players, coaches, executives and legends as they board the rally vehicles.

Rolling Rally Coverage

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Once the rally begins, Gary Tanguay and Donny Marshall will anchor from the Garden; Gorman, Heinsohn and Dickerson will report from vehicles in the rally; and Michael Felger and Laura Behnke will report from along the parade route. In addition, Tanguay and Marshall will be participating in an online chat with Celtics fans.

Drive for 17

6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

One-hour comprehensive recap of the Celtics playoff drive featuring the telecast team that knows the Green the best – Gary, Donny, Mike, Tommy and Greg.

Rolling Rally (replay)

7:30 to 10 p.m.

Drive for 17 (replay)

10 to 11:00 p.m.
